AUGUST W. BRY

Maquoketa, Ia. – Services for August W. Bry, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Kumpf, pastor of the Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Bry died Friday night at the Jackson County Public Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1867 in Germany. He married Dorothea Bockmann there Dec. 26, 1894. After they came to this country, they farmed many tears in the Nashville community west of Maquoketa.

Surviving is his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Freda Willimack of San Pedro, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Miller of Maquoketa, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
