Hannah Burns-

Maquoketa, Ia, October 15, 1925

The funeral of Mrs. C. A. Burns was held Wednesday afternoon from the Buchner funeral parlors. Interment was made in the Mt. Hope cemetery.

Mrs. Burns, nee White, was born in Jackson county, 69 years ago. She married J. E. Fairbrother in 1873, seven children were born to their union: Fred Haney of Waterloo, Mrs. Ella Ames, Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. J. B. Arnold, Mitchell, S. D., Mrs. Harriett M. Pike, Missouri Valley, Iowa, Roy of Maquoketa, L. F. of Chicago and Donald of Lincoln, Neb. In 1901, Mrs. Fairbrother was united in marriage to C. A. Burns of Maquoketa, who with the children survives.
