ZWINGLE, Feb. 28-
Ray A. Casteel, 66, of Zwingle, died suddenly Friday afternoon in the office of a Maquoketa physician. The remains were taken to the Egelhof funeral home in Dubuque, from where funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday to Harmony Evangelical and Reformed church, Zwingle at 2:00 p.m.. The Rev. H. Kehle, pastor, officiated and interment was in the cjurch cemetery.

Mr. Casteel was born September 1, 1888, near Zwingle, in Jackson county. He was the son of the late Walter and Amanda Kenerer Casteel, He farmed in the community until he retired a year ago and moved to Zwingle. On September 1, 1915, he was married to Florence Mills, who survives. He was a member of the Harmony Evangelical and Reformed church. In addition to his widow he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Hazel) Shady of Zwingle, a son, Donald Casteel of Baldwin, two sisters, Mrs. B. C. Chesterman of Prosper, Minnesota and Mrs. Esta Niensteadt of Dubuque and a brother, Clyde Casteel of Dubuque.
