CLARENCE MOREHEAD DIES; RITES HELD WEDNESDAY HERE

Service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Carson and Balster funeral home for Clarence Chester Morehead, 63, who died suddenly of a heart attack Monday. The Rev. Wilbur Wilcox officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery. The body lay in state at the Morehead home from noon Tuesday until noon Wednesday.

Mr. Morehead was born September 20, 1886 in Iron Hill, the son of Atwood Morehead and Lucy Clark Morehead. He was married August 18, 1910 to Line Houston, who survives. Surviving besides the widow are two children, Kermit of Maquoketa and Mrs. Phyllis Luskey of Charlotte; and two sisters, Ruth Hute of Maquoketa and Ada Kehn of Delmar. A brother and four sisters preceded him in death.
