H. J. FOLLETT
Hiram J. Follett was born in Franklin County, New York, October 28, 1856 and when nine years of age, came with his parents to Iowa where he had since resided.
On November 14, 1884, he was united in marriage to Nettie A. Dow and they were fond parents of three children, Harry D. of Oak Park, Ill., Ray of Rochester, Indiana and Helen Follett-Gisel of Andrew, who with the sorrowing widow and six grandchildren survive to mourn his passing. He passed away Friday, August 20 at his home on South Main street, after an illness of twenty years, caused by paralysis.
He had been a member of M. W. A. lodge for many years, but because of poor health was unable to attend the meetings. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. at the late home, conducted by Rev. F. C. Worcester of the M. E. Church. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
