DIPHTHERIA CAUSES DEATH OF PRESTON BOY
Lewis Jungjohann, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jungjohann of Preston, passed away Saturday evening about 11 o'clock of black diphtheria, at the home of his parents. The child had been sick for about a week but was not thought to be seriously ill until a few days before his passing. He was born in Miles, Iowa, Feb. 1, 1914, and was 12 years old.
Lewis is survived by his parents, three brothers, Emmet, Vern and LeRoy and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jungjohann. Funeral services were held outside of the home Sunday afternoon at 4:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. P. Sandrock. Interment was in the Preston cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
