Arnold Francis Goetz Obituary
Aged 88, of St. Paul

Loving husband, father, and grandpa

Born June 17, 1925, and died Monday, December 30, 2013.

Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Dorothy (Tritz) Goetz and sisters Mary Goetz Reuter and Sister Charleta (Delores) Goetz, FSPA.

Devoted husband to Jeanne (Callaghan); loving father to Dianne (David), Emily (Robert), and Thomas (Erin); and gentle grandfather to Elizabeth, Mary, and a new baby to be.

Grew up in Bellevue, Iowa, and married his beloved Jeanne there on September 8, 1947. Served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during WW II, and took a job with the US Postal Service in 1948. Moved to Minnesota in 1951, but remained an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago White Sox fan.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, children, and grandchildren, Arnold is survived by his sister, Sister M Cecilienne (Florence), FSPA, brother James (Patricia) Goetz, brother-in-law Thomas Callaghan, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Callaghan, and many nieces and nephews.

Fondly remembered as a great family cook, especially of fried potatoes, johnnycake, French toast, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Memorials to Parkinson's research or Church of the Assumption.

Mass of Christian Burial 10am on January 6th at the Church of the Assumption, 51 7th St W, St Paul, MN. Visitation at the church 1 hour before the Mass. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. 651-457-6200
