Maquoketa, Iowa

Howard Rorah, 79, of 302 N. Walnut St. died Tuesday evening at Jackson County Public Hospital here.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Carson Funeral Home here, where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and until time of services Friday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Rorah, a retired farmer, was a 50-year member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Ihrig; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Bowen, Mrs. Paul (Margaret) McPherson, and Mrs. Carrie Ann Storlie, all of Maquoketa; two sons, Kenneth of Lakeland, Fla. and Tommy of Maquoketa; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Cecil of Monmouth, Iowa.
