DIED.

At Colesburg, Iowa, Sunday, March 25th, of Nephritis, SAMUEL CHANDLER, an honorary member of Helion Lodge of F. & A. M., aged 76 years.

Father Chandler was over twenty-three years a citizen of Jackson County, and a man of large acquaintance, and as such was much respected. He became a member of the Masonic Order at about the age of twenty-one, and ever afterwards walked as a good and upright Mason. He delighted in her monthly gatherings. He bore for many years a good Christian character, and those who were with him at the last bear testimony that he died in hope of eternal rest. He was absent from home on business when the Master called for him, but was kindly cared for by friends and Brothers of the Order of which he had been so long a member. His remains now rest in the Maquoketa Cemetery, where they were deposited by his brethren of the Mystic tie. His friends and family have the true sympathy of members of Helion Lodge.
