Mrs. John Gibson died Wednesday, December 27, 1893 of general debility. The funeral took place Friday following at 10:30 a.m., officiated bt Rev. Bretnall. Her remains were taken to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, three miles north of Monmouth and there deposited by the side of seven of her children that have long since passed away. She leaves a husband and three children, one daughter and two sons to mourn the loss of a wife and mother who have the sympathy of many kind friends who rendered their kindest assistance during the sickness of their best friend, wife and mother.

Permelia Gibson came to this country with her husband John in the fall of 1849 and settled on a farm three miles north of here and have resided there up to about fifteen years ago when her husband bought property in town here and have resided here ever since.
