Jessie Mary Gilmore Dies Tuesday, November 24
Monmouth- Mrs. Earl Gilmore, 67, died Tuesday, November 24 in the Jackson County public hospital at Maquoketa. Jessie Mary Sokol was born to the late George and Amanda Grubb Sokol September 26, 1886 in Monmouth. She was married to Earl Gilmore September 12, 1907 in Monmouth.
Mrs. Gilmore is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Goldsmith, Monmouth; Mrs. Ethel Kubert, Clinton, and Mrs. Eloise Brush, Kansas City, Mo; two sons, Gerald and George, both of Monmouth and six grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded her in death.
The funeral service was held November 27th at Carson Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Rev. Phillip Masters of the Monmouth-Baldwin Methodist Church and Rev. F. E. Sommerville of Anamosa officiated. Interment was in the Monmouth cemetery.
