Obituary. Jane Catherine Bridge was born July 30th, 1840, in Mercer County Pa. and died Feb. 2, 1920, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Streets, from the results of a fall she received three weeks ago. She was 79 years, 6 months and 1 day old. She came to Iowa with her parents when a child and was united in marriage to Robert Campbell in 1860. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Clara Clark, who died in 1910. Mr. Campbell gave his life for his country, passing from this life in 1863.
On April 3, 1866, she was united in marriage to Cephas Clark, who passed away in 1912. To this union were b. seven children: Margaret, who died in 1908; Mrs. Cora Shirly[sic] of Toronto, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Dick of Davenport, Iowa; Charley of Maquoketa, Iowa; Mrs. Minnie Streets of Iron Hill, Iowa; Fred, who lived with her in the home at Iron Hill and Ethel, who died in 1890, also two stepdaughters, Mrs. Charlotte Alden of Iron Hill and Mrs. Lottie Rockwell of Fulton, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, with hosts of friends to mourn the lost of a good mother, kind neighbor, a friend of the poor and needy. A good Christian woman who served her Heavenly Father faithfully and well, has gone from our midst. She was a member of the Advent Christian church.
Funeral services were held from the daughter's home Wednesday forenoon, with Rev. Kidder officiating and burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. [Handwritten note: February 6, 1920, [paper unknown]]
