Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Emeline Presbyterian Church for Freda DeMoss, 63, of Cascade. Burial will be in Hickory Grove cemetery. The Rev. Wilbur Noltery of Cascade will officiate. Friends may call at the W.G. Carson and Son Funeral Home in Maquoketa. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. DeMoss died Saturday morning at the Jackson County Public Hospital.Freda Carr was born Dec. 22. 1903, in Jones County, the daughter of Ernest and Louise (Taylor) Carr. On Apr. 27, 1926, she married Floyd L. DeMoss in Maquoketa. Mrs. DeMoss was a member of the Presbyterian Ladies Aid and served as an elder in the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Robert of Cascade, Re (name cut off) in Dubuque, Keith of Baldwin, Stewart of Wyoming; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Carlson of Monmounth, Mrs. Arnold (Arlene) McCutcheor, Spragueville, and Mrs. Dora Foster of Anamosa; brothers, Everett and Harold of Bernard, and Irvin of Los Angeles, Calif.; and 22 grandchildren.
Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
