Violet Huffman
Funeral services for Mrs. Violet B. Huffman, 65, are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. today, Sat. Sept. 21 at W. G. Carson and Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Huffman died Wed.,Sept. 16 in Jackson County Public Hospital. Mr. Gary Ross of the Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate at the services with burial in the Scotch Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Huffman was born Oct. 31, 1902 in Jones County, the daughter of Walter and Plygha (Carr) Carr. She married William Lange March 31, 1919 in Scotch Grove. He preceded her in death April 11, 1927. On Nov. 21, 1934 she married Wesley Huffman in Galena, Ill. He preceded her in death in April. 1965.
Surviving are two sons, Leo Lange of Scotch Grove, and Ervin Lange of Maquoketa; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Davis and Mrs. James (Leona) Presson, both of Maquoketa; three brothers, Vernon Carr of Garnett, Kan., Victor Carr of Denver, Colo., and Walter Carr of Grand Mound; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Paasch of Clinton and Mrs. Winona Orr of Onslow; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brohers on one sister. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
