MRS. WILLIAM JOHNSON

Mrs. William Johnson, 77, resident of the Sterling and Sabula communities most of her life, died early today in her home here. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Lutheran church, Sabula, Rev. Phillip Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will be taken at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Allen funeral home to the family residence.

Laura Alvina Johnson was born Sept. 20, 1879, in Germany, coming to America when 16 years of age. She and William Johnson were married in 1897 and resided in the Sterling neighborhood until 22 years ago when they moved to Sabula.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Marburger, Mrs. William Huebner, Mrs. Ernest Rittmer, Mrs. Earl Marburger, and Mrs. Ray Highstrom, all of Sabula; five sons, William of Clinton, Ernest of Bryant, Alvin of Hanover and Julius and Ray, both of Sabula; one sister, Mrs. John Dau of Miles; 43 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. The husband and two sons in infancy, preceded her in death.
