Maquoketa, IA – Services for Marjorie L. Riggs, 91, of Dewitt, formerly of Maquoketa, IA will be at 2 PM, Tuesday at Haylock/O’Hara and Kedley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Riggs died Saturday at DeWitt Community Hospital.
She and her husband retired from farming in the Maquoketa area.
Marjorie Bowman married Leo Riggs in 1915 in Maquoketa. He died in 1958.
Visitation is after 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughters, Bertha “Mae” Matler, Brazil, IN; Iona Knight, Richland Center, WI, Evelyn Efferding, Maquoketa; 19 grandchildren; four step grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; 24 step great greatgreat grandchildren; sisters, Florence Owsob, North Hollywood, CA; Ethelyn Hoerschelman, Maquoketa; and Eleanor Berryhill, Eugene, OR and brothers Francis, Fort Meyers, FL and Art, Hollywood, CA.
