Richard Yoerger, Sr., Dies at Bellevue

BELLEVUE – Richard Yoerger, Sr., 77, died Saturday in a Bellevue hospital after several years of failing health.

He was born in Feb. 1870, in Galena, Ill., the son of William and Euphrosenia Yoerger. He married Mary Monner on Feb. 12, 1896.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Nick Heiar, of Bellevue, Mrs. Edwin Weis of Maquoketa, Mrs. Norbert Kilburg, of Bellevue and Mrs. Edmund Nowel of Calamus; seven brothers, Alvin of Bellevue, Edwin of Lamont, Albert, of Bellevue, Arnold, of Maquoketa, Richard, of Bellevue, and Leroy and Clarence, both of Bellevue; 34 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother and five sisters. A son and grandson preceded him in death.
