Capt. George Wilbur Sackett-
In the Chicago Herald of Wednesday was found the following short clipping that will be of interest to many Maquoketa people:
Capt. George Wilbur Sackett, a nephew of Mrs. Grace Wilbur Trout, noted suffragist, was killed in action, October 15, 1918. Mrs. Trout received a War Department message to this effect yesterday. She had reared Capt. Sackett since he was orphaned in infancy.
Capt. Sackett was graduated last year from West Point. He was in command of Company F, 11th Infantry, in France, which he was leading in the final drive of the war. Just previous to his departure for France he married Miss Antoinette Cooper of New Rochelle, New York.
