Funeral services for Albert Wurster, a former Maquoketa resident, were conducted at 2 pm, Monday, June 17, at the Haylock O'Hara Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Naylor of Waterloo officiated, and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Wurster died at his home in Waterloo, Thursday June 13.

He was born April 19, 1895 at Andrew, the son of Christopher and Henrietta (Weets) Wurster. He farmed in the rural Maquoketa until 1942, when he moved to Waterloo. He was a veteran of WWI.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one sister, Mrs. Mary Laffey, Maquoketa, and a brother, Martin of Maquoketa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a son and a sister.
