ANOTHER PIONEER IS SUMMONED
-
Perry Lamborn Succumbs Wednesday Afternoon of Old Age
-
Perry Lamborn, one of Jackson county's pioneer citizens, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at his home in Washington township nine miles south of Bellevue, of old age and general disability.

Mr. Lamborn was born in Venango county, Pennsylvania, March 12, 1830 and was therefore eighty-seven years old. He came to this county in 1853 and on December 17, 1857, at the home of Alex Reed in Washington township, he was united in marriage to Miss Winnie Calhoun, who was born in Galena. Eight children were born to them, five of whom are now living, namely: William of Van Buren county, Samuel of Washington township, Mrs. H. A. Powers of Emmettsburg, Charles and Robert of Washington township. Mrs. Lamborn died October 8, 1903.

Mr. Lamborn lived on the same farm for over sixty-one years. He was a leading citizen of his community and a man who enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He was honorable and upright in all his dealings and possessed those traits of character which stamped him as a loyal and public spirited man.

The time of the funeral depends upon the arrival of his son William but it will probably take place Friday morning at ten o'clock from his late home and will be conducted by Rev. Phillips, pastor of the Congregational churches at Sabula and Green Island. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Bellevue.
