July 15, 1960Minnie W. Jacobsen Dies in Hospital; Services Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Wright Jacobsen, 80, a lifelong Jackson county resident who died late Monday at the Jackson County Public hospital here, were held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Haylock O'Hara funeral home. The Rev. M. H. Nothdurft, pastor of the Maquoketa Methodist church, officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
She was born Nov. 29, 1879, at Monticello, Ia., the daughter of Chris and Hannah Blessing Glaser. She attended the Maquoketa public schools and was a longtime member of the Pythian Sisters.
Among her survivors are a daughter, Mrs. C. C. (Wilma) Bowman of Maquoketa; a son, Johnny Wright, also of Maquoketa: a sister, Mrs. Bertha Reel of Maquoketa; and a brother, Will Glaser of Elmcreek, Nebr. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
