OBITUARY-

MRS. I. K. MILLARD, who has resided in this city for twenty-five years or more, died last Thursday afternoon, after a brief illness. Her disease was, we believe, strangulated hernia, with which she has been afflicted for several years. As a last hope of saving her life, an operation was performed on Wednesday evening by Dr. Peck of Davenport, and Bowen of this city, but in her exhausted condition and advanced age, she failed to rally and quietly and peacefully passed away. She was in her 68th year. A very large concourse of sorrowing friends followed her to her last resting place in Mount Hope Cemetery Saturday afternoon.
