Wilson Reeves, whose death occurred Monday afternoon at four o’clock after a long illness with Bright’s disease of the kidneys, was born in Warren, Ohio, in 1817, and was consequently in the 68th year of his earthly existence. Mr. Reeves lived with his parents in Warren until 1832, when he emigrated to Galena, where he remained about a year and then took up his residence in Dubuque. After a short while he journeyed to New Orleans and engaged in business for five years, after which he returned north and in 1841 became a resident of Bellevue, whence he has continued to live ever since.
