Aged Resident Succumbs

Mrs. Elizabeth Springer, aged 77 years, passed away at 5 o’clock Wednesday evening at the country home of her son, E. Springer, who resides two miles south of Iron Hill.

Mrs. Springer suffered a paralytic stroke several months ago and has been in failing health since. Her daughter, Mrs. Worthington of Cedar Rapids, has been here and assisted Mr. Springer in caring for the mother.

Mrs. Springer was born in New York. She was but seventeen years of age when she came to Iowa with her parents. She was married to Benjamin Franklin Springer. Three children survive: E. Springer, who is located on the old homestead; Roy Springer of Omaha; and Mrs. Lilla Worthington of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock from the home and at 2 o’clock from East Iron Hill church, Rev. H. A. Dalrymple officiating. Interment in East Iron Hill cemetery.
