Mrs. John L. Arney

Mr. John Hurst, of this city, received the sad news last week from Scotland, South Dakota, that his grand-daughter and eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Anderson, formerly of this locality, died there Nov. 15, and was buried Nov. 17, 1892. She was aged about 21 years and was married only last July to John L. Arney. After the marriage the couple went to Colorado for the benefit of her health, but the change availed but little as it was found she was suffering from quick consumption. They returned to Scotland and Mrs. Arney, who was the most exemplary young lady, continued to fail rapidly until her death. The friends of this community extend their sympathy to the grief-stricken relatives.
