DIED-

REYNOLDS-At the residence of his son, four miles south of this city on Friday Aug. 8th, 1879, Schuyler Reynolds, aged 72 years, 3 months and 11 days. Schuyler Reynolds was born in Washington county, New York, in 1807. In the spring of 1837 he removed to the western part of his native state, where he led a busy life until the spring of 1860, when he came to Iowa, and had since that time resided in this vicinity. Mr. Reynolds, by prudence and foresight had amassed a large fortune which he disposed of by will. For many years he had been afflicted by asthma, suffering almost constantly, until death finally came to his relief. Mr. Reynolds leaves three children living. The funeral on Sunday was attended by a large number of people. The procession of carriages which followed the remains from the church to the cemetery was nearly a mile and a half long.
