Francis Hoovler was born Jan. 22, 1883, on the home farm east of Maquoketa and passed away Saturday morning, June 14, at 2:15 o’clock at the home of his brother, C. A. Hoovler on Locust street.
He was married on May 30, 1910, to Miss Hannah Bauman of Bellevue. She passed into eternal rest March 23, 1911, after a brief illness. He was married to Miss Addie McPeak on October 25, 1913. he leaves to survive him his wife and two children, a little girl, Ina, aged three years, and a baby boy five weeks old. Also a mother, Mrs. Anna Hoovler of Spragueville, and brother, C. A. Hoovler of this city, one sister, Mrs. Ansel Butterworth, died several years ago.
Funeral services were held from the country home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating. Interment was made in the Andrew cemetery. The I. O. O. F. lodge of Preston and the M. W. A. of Spragueville had charge of the services at the grave.
