Jackson Sentinel, September 27, 1870.

DIED-

On Monday last, of typhoid fever, Gage W., son of W. C. and Martha P. Swigart, aged six years and six months.

"The hearse plumes nod in full view of babyhood's basket wagon and tin rattle."

Little did we think when we penned the above lines last week, that the hearse plumes would so soon flutter over a member of our own family. Gage was a sprightly boy, and was the pet of the household; but we have the consolation of him who said: "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
