Susan Shaw-
The remains of Mrs. David Shaw were brought to this city last Monday evening from Elkhorn, Wisconsin, for interment. She was taken ill at her home in Washington Territory, where her husband moved from Maquoketa several years ago. Unable to procure the best medical treatment there, her daughter, Mrs. Judge Wheeler, residing in Elkhorn, induced her to go there about three weeks ago, but she was beyond the aid of human skill and passed away last Sunday. The funeral occurred from the residence of her niece, Mrs. Sell Mann, on East Pleasant Street, and was largely attended by friends and old acquaintances. The deceased was 59 years of age and leaves a husband and two daughters to mourn her loss.
