ANOTHER PIONEER GONE.

Mrs. Mary Smith, wife of Andrew Smith, departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 1, 1870, at her residence in Iowa township, in this county. Mrs. Smith was born in County Cavan, Ireland, and emigrated to this country in 1841, settling in Iowa township, in this county, where she with her husband and family have since resided. She was a woman possessed of strong home attachments, and as a neighbor and friend she had but few equals. She leaves a husband and seven children to mourn her loss. Her remains were deposited in the Catholic Cemetery(St. Peter's) in the presence of a large number of friends and neighbors, among whom were very many of the Pioneer and Old Settlers Association.
