LYONS-

At her home in Maquoketa in Maquoketa township on May 6, 1893, Mrs. Alvira Lyons, wife of Cortez Lyons, aged 36 years.

Deceased was an estimable lady, a devoted wife and loving mother, and after an illness of several weeks, from which she seemed about to recover, she was suddenly taken with heart trouble and died in a few minutes. She leaves a fond husband and four children to sorrow. The funeral took place Monday and a large circle of friends followed the remains to Mt. Hope Cemetery.
