At the Eldredge House, in this city, January 27, 1876, Mrs. Mary Sweet, aged 82 years.

Mrs. Sweet was born in Pennsylvania, and lived there until within the last five years, when she moved to Iowa, taking up her residence with her son, A. Hyman, at Marion, and lately moving here. She was known in the locality where she lived as an earnest, upright woman, a devoted mother, and a true friend to every one. For over forty five years she was a consistent and exemplary number of the M. E. Church. Her death was quiet and peaceful.
