Mrs. Sadie Black is Dead

Christmas morning Mrs. Sadie Black was called to her eternal home. Mrs. Black had recently submitted to an operation from which she was thought to be recovering and had been taken from the hospital at St. Paul to the home of her brother, Rev. Harry Blunt in that city, where she passed away Christmas morning. The remains were taken to West Branch, the home of her parents, where the funeral was held Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Black has resided for the past few years with her daughter, Mrs. L. D. Conover at Dalton, Nebr.

Deceased grew to womanhood in our city and has many friends who will mourn her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Blunt, former residents of Maquoketa, but now residing at West Branch. Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Conover of Dalton, Nebr., her parents, brothers, Will, George, John and Rev. Harry Blunt and sisters. Mrs. Anna Bodman, Mrs. F. L. Roach and Mrs. Willard Eddy.
