Joseph Dorr, aged 87, came to the end of a useful life August 4th. He had lived in Clinton, Dubuque and Jackson counties since 1847. The last five years were passed at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cotton, in Bellevue. The late Col. J. B. Dorr, of the Eighth Iowa Cavalry, once publisher of a paper in Bellevue and afterward editor of the Dubuque Herald, was the youngest son of the deceased. Mr. Dorr was the father of six children, three of whom preceded him to the grave.
