GREEN ISLAND, June 11 –

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. in Sacred Heart Church for Mrs. Simon Cassady, Sr. Rev. William P. Greener officiated at the Mass and burial in the Miles Cemetery. Lena Mae Pogeman, daughter of Herman and Anna Gerlack Pogeman, was born near here May 8, 1890.

On September 27, 1924, she married Simon Cassady. They were residents of Green Island until three years ago when they moved to Miles.

She is survived by her husband; two sons; LaVern of Miles; Simon Jr. of Teeds Grove and eleven grandchildren; one brother Herman Pogeman of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
