Nicholas Kremer

Funeral services for Nicholas Kremer, 77 of Maquoketa, retired tool and die maker, were held Monday, Jan. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the Carson Funeral Home. Elder Ronald Roberts of the Latter Day Saints Church officiated and burial was in the Andrew Cemetery.

Kremer died Friday, Jan. 24, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport.

He was born June 15, 1897 in Chicago to Peter and Anna Ganzer Kremer. On Nov. 1, 1939 he married Bernice McDonald Rannals in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Dwain Rannals, Moline, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Orsinger, Glenview, Ill., Mrs. Annimae Johnson, Davenport, and Mrs. Donna Evans, DeWitt; one brother, Herbert Kremer, Park Ridge, Ill.; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kremer was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
