DEATH SUMMONS MRS. WM. ELLIOTT AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS
After a long illness, Mrs. William Elliott passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed. Harris on Second Street in this city, Saturday last. For the past four years Mrs. Elliott had made her home with her daughter here and where every tenderness was accorded her and every kindness shown. She had been a devoted mother and a good woman, and despite the intense suffering which was her lot the past long months, she keenly appreciated all that loved ones and friends strove to do to comfort her.

Cassie McDonald, daughter of Orrison and Phildelia McDonald, was born at Angelica, N. Y., June 26, 1853, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed. Harris, in Maquoketa, Ia., Feb. 26, 1921, aged sixty-seven years and eight months. She was united in marriage with Wm. S. Elliott, Dec. 28, 1870, and the latter died March 4, 1906. Three children were born to this union and Orrie died at the age of two years. She is survived by Edith M. Harris, Maquoketa, and Edward M. Elliott, Fresno, Calif., and besides these leaves 3 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A short service was held at the home Monday morning at 7:45, Rev. Morgan officiating. The funeral services were held at the Snider undertaking parlor in West Liberty, Ia., Rev. Schendelmayer, former pastor of Christian church, conduction the service.
