DEATH TAKES WIFE AND MOTHER AFTER LONG ILLNESS
After two years of illness during which time she retained the sunny disposition which characterized her entire life, Mrs. O. E. Sackrider passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith Meneray at Griswold, Iowa, on June 15, 1920. Mrs. Sackrider was, prior to her marriage, Miss Nettie Patterson and was born at Bridgeport, March 29, 1867, and grew to womanhood in this community. On September 7, 1887 she was united in marriage to Otis E. Sackrider and to this union four children were born, three of whom died in infancy. In 1906 she was united with the First Baptist Church at Council Bluffs, and was during the years of health an active worker in church and fraternal circles. She was also an honored member of the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Rebecca lodges and her beautiful character was a true exemplification of the grand teachings laid down by these organizations. For the past two years Mrs. Sackrider has been in failing health, the past six months was bedfast, but with all this long suffering she maintained hope and a keen desire to remain with loved one and friends here.

Besides the bereaved husband she leaves her daughter, Mrs. Edith Meneray of Griswold, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nora French and Mrs. Ida Downing, also an aged aunt, Miss Betty Nims. The remains were brought to this city and the funeral was held from the H. G. French home last Friday morning, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating.
