Obituary
Hans Chris Jacobsen was born in Denmark, August 23, 1853, and died at this home six miles south of Maquoketa, July 3, 1920. He was united in marriage ot Dora Rasmussen in 1875 to which union were born eleven children, four of whom with this faithful wife survive. The children are, Peter Jacobsen and Mrs. Will Kaufman at home; Mrs. Elmer Stutton of Delmar and Mrs. Guy Hansen of this city. Also four grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Methodist church this Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating.
Weep not that his toils are over

God grant that we may rest as calmly
When our work, like his, is done.
