September 7, 1964John Petersen Rites Held in Sabula
Sabula, Sept. 5 – John Petersen, 67, died Aug. 15 at his rural home near Sabula. Last rites were held Aug. 18 at the Allen funeral home. The Rev. Vernon H. Naffier, pastor of Salem Lutheran church at Spragueville, officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
The son of John and Dora A. Petersen, he had farmed in this vicinity all his life. Surviving are a brother, George of Reeseville; and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Schiernbeck of Ida Grove, Ia., Mrs. Clara Mohr of Bellevue and Mrs. Esther Huebner of Sabula.
