Obituary

Mrs. Estella, wife of James McPeak and daughter of W. and J. Wait, was born October 2, 1862 in the town of Evansville, Rock County, Wis. She died July 15, 1888, in Perry Township, Jackson County, Iowa, aged 25 years 9 months and 13 days. Estella was the mother of two children, Lawrence D. and Arthur W. Lawrence died in infancy. Arthur is still left to learn the want of a mother. Estella was baptized into the church of Christ by Elder E. Pomeroy, September 5, 1886 at Bridgeport, Iowa, and died in the Christian’s hope, leaving a husband, father, child, one brother and five sisters with many other relatives and friends to mourn her early death. The funeral sermon was preached by the writer at the Esgate school house, to quite a large congregation, from John 11:25-26. E. Y. CARL.
