Aged Monmouth Lady Dead

At her home near Monmouth, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Wood, wife of William H. Wood, for many years a resident of that community, passed away about 6 o’clock Monday morning, aged seventy-eight years. Mrs. Wood was born in Ohio and came to Iowa in 1843 when but a little child and had ever since made her home near Monmouth. To Mr. and Mrs. Wood three children were born, two sons, James P., of Wyoming, and Willis H. at home; and one daughter, Mrs. John White of this city, who with the aged husband mourn the loss of a kind, loving mother and faithful, devoted wife. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock from the South Mineral church with interment in the cemetery adjoining.
