DIED IN HIS CHAIR.
Sereno Wright, an Old Citizen, Dies suddenly –
Heart Disease Supposed to be the Cause.

About two weeks ago Sereno Wright, who lived in the large house at the intersection of Camanche and Eleventh avenue, was taken ill and was confined to his room. He improved, however, under the care of Dr. Wetmore, and was feeling so well this forenoon that he walked to the post-office, several blocks away. He returned home, feeling fatigued, and sat down to rest. About 1:30 he passed peacefully away, while sitting in his chair.

Sereno Wright lived in Lyons about seventeen years, then moved to Clinton where he resided for the past seven years. He celebrated his 69th birthday during last December. He leaves three children, two sons and a daughter – grown. Mrs. Wright was visiting in Lyons at the time of the death angel’s visit and returned to find that her husband had “passed over Jordan.” Mr. Wright will be remembered as the house-mover, an occupation, with building, he followed successfully for a number a years.
