Jackson Sentinel August 3, 1893.

HENNINGSEN.

– Thursday evening a number learned that Mrs. B. H. A. Henningsen had died suddenly at the residence, on Sixth and Exchange streets. The morning proved the report to be only too true. For a number of years Mrs. Henningsen has been an invalid, but although she has in the past few months had some very severe sick spells, she on the day named had been feeling better than usual, and it was a severe and painful shock to all when at a little after 6 o’clock she was seized with the final attack and expired from an affection of the heart at 6:30. Born in Altona, Germany, Sept. 5, 1820, Elvine Schroeder came to America in 1853, and in the same year was united in matrimony at Sabula, Iowa, To B. H. A. Henningsen. In 1866 they came to Lyons to reside and have since made their home here continuously for twenty-seven years. Mrs. Henningsen possessed one of those essentially warm hearted womanly natures which drew all toward her. She was a gentle and kindly spirit that endeared her to all her friends; a model wife and loving mother. Scores of friends here and elsewhere mourn her loss, and extend sincere sympathy to those who remain. The deceased leaves, besides her husband, four daughters, Mrs. W. K. Boardman, of Nevada, Iowa, Mrs. F. C. Brayton, of Mason City, and Misses Louise D., and Hattie A., at home. – Lyons Advertiser. Mr. and Mrs. Henningsen were residents of Union township, this county for a number of years. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon. Rev. C. H. Weaver officiating. Many sympathizing friends and relatives were present.
