STEWART – In this city, on Saturday, Jan. 17th, Horace Stewart, aged nearly seventy-one years.

Another old settler has crossed to the other shore. Mr. Steward emigrated from near Buffalo, N. Y., in 1854. He engaged in the restaurant business in this city for a number of years, until failing health compelled him to give it up. Mr. Stewart was a man of kind impulses, and was always ready to assist the needy poor when circumstances permitted. He leaves a wife and three children, men and women grown, to mourn his demise. – Thus, one by one, the old settlers are departing.
