PETER MITCHELL PASSES

Peter Mitchell, 81, passed away at his home eight miles northeast of LaMotte after a short illness of a paralytic stroke. He was a life long resident of this community. He was married to Miss Mary Ellen Reddin, who survives him with three daughters, Miss Gertrude of Chicago, Mrs. Harry (Martha) Wells of Bellevue, and Mrs. Arnold (Lyla) Van Waus of Victor, Iowa; six sons, Louis and Francis at home, Arthur and Vernie of Chicago. Edmund of Massey and Leroy of Key West; one brother, John of Dubuque.

The funeral was held from the Hoffman mortuary to St. Catherine’s church Saturday at 9 a.m., his pastor, Rev. Paul Kirchoff sang the requiem mass. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. The casket bearers were his six sons.
