Jackson Sentinel, Jan. 7, 1892.

CREVLIN. – At the home of her daughter Mrs. Eva Hall, on Monday, Jan. 4, 1892, of lung fever, aged 72 yrs., 6 mos., 22 das. Mathilday Crevlin was born in Warren county, N. J., and after a residence of some years in Susquehanna county, Pa., came with her husband, D. H. Crevlin and family to Iowa in 1869. She was a woman of many good qualities and a most affectionate mother and had been a widow for some years. She was taken with lung fever and her sickness was of but five days duration. The services were conducted on Wednesday last by Rev. J. G. Van Ness, and the body laid to rest in the cemetery near the Buckhorn church. Mrs. Crevlin was a firm believer in the Christian religion and was comforted and helped by its truths. For a long time she had been a member of the M. E. church, to which she was greatly attached.
