MONMOUTH-

Miss Caroline Duel was born i Brandon Township, Jackson County, Iowa May 25th 1846 and died in Monmouth, June 27, 1905 aged 59 years, 1 month and 2 days. Deceased was one of Brandon Township's old residents. She leaves three sisters to mourn her loss. Mrs. Hannah Preston of DeWitt, Mrs. Nancy Patten of Canton, and Mrs. Eliza Norton of Monmouth at whose home she died, The funeral services were held in the F. M. Church in Monmouth. Rev. John Said officiating with interment at Hickory Grove.
