Died.

Mrs. Minerva Jane Wilcox, nee Perry, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. O. Hinckley, five miles southeast of Early, on Sunday morning, September 14, 1902, aged 72 years, 4 months and 15 days. Though in poor health for a long time, her illness was not severe until within the last eight weeks. The decedent was born in Kentucky. April 29, 1830, and removed to Missouri and from there came to Clinton county, this state, in 1846. In January, 1849, she was married to Amos D. Wilcox. In 1880 the family moved to this county. Mr. Wilcox died in 1892. She was the mother of seven children – four sons and three daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral to pay the last tribute of love to an affectionate mother. She is survived also by five sisters and two brothers. The funeral was held on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Presbyterian church in Early. Rev. Geo. M. Rourke, of Sac City, preaching the funeral sermon. The burial was in the Early cemetery. – Sac County Sun.
