Sheila SongerSheila A. Songer, 54, of Maquoketa died Wednesday morning, July 14, 1999 at her home.
Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday July 17, at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa, with the Rev. Clair Odell of the First United Methodist Church of Maquoketa officiating.
Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Visitation was held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Songer was born Jan. 9, 1945 in Maquoketa to Glenn Davison and Mina Walker Davison Hinrichsen.
She married Henry Songer in 1993 in Maquoketa.
She was an over the road semi-truck driver with a coast to coast route for 12 years. She then worked at the Maquoketa Care Center in the housekeeping department until she retired due to ill health.
Survivors include her husband, Henry of Maquoketa, one daughter, Lisa (and Bob) Hilbert of Clinton, one son, Eric (and Tina) Travis of Columbus Junction, three grandchildren, her mother, Mina Hinrichsen of Maquoketa, one sister, Virginia (Mrs. LeRoy) Munson of Golden, Mo., one brother, Charles Glenn (and Barbara) Davison of Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her father.
